Doesn't lock in the open position at all. It keeps trying to close ("pages" seem to pull the "cover" and close the book). Can only be used on a magnetic surface (the book cover has built-in magnets).
It looks like in the images, nice but the light is scarce, very scarce. It's useless for lighting. For decoration, it's nice and discreet.
